Meet Dana, the founder and heart of Embrace Doulas. Her passion for doula work was realized in 2014, following the birth of her first child. Feeling called to support others through similar journeys, she earned her professional certification from ProDoula and began serving families in 2017. With a natural inclination towards attuning to others, Dana deeply understands the profound impact a strong support system can have. Therefore, her utmost priority is to provide nurturing and unbiased support, ensuring that each family receives the care they rightfully deserve.

In her dedication to building a close-knit community for mothers, she established South Jersey Moms Connect, a vibrant and supportive Facebook community where local moms can share stories, ask questions, and find real connection. What began as a simple idea to bring mothers together has blossomed into a trusted space for over 20K active members.

Always forward thinking, Dana is currently expanding her vision with a new studio space in Collingswood, NJ, designed to offer in-person education and community support. Whether it’s childbirth or parenting classes, postpartum meetups, and so much more, her goal is to build an inclusive, welcoming environment. This new chapter reflects Dana’s ongoing commitment to learning. She and the Embrace Doulas team stay up to date on the latest research and best practices to serve families with the highest standard of care.

A lifelong South Jersey resident, Dana lives in what she fondly refers to as “blissful chaos” with her husband Bill and their four boys: Liam, Jameson, Pierce, and Finn. In her spare time, you’ll often find her going on adventures with her kids, having impromptu dance parties in her kitchen, and planning their next family trip to Disney World. Friends describe Dana as authentic, kind and fiercely loyal. Dana radiates joy and love in all facets of her life, and she carries this spirit with her in all that she does.
